Excellent experience here after we went to another nearby farm in Townsend and left there empty handed. This place was very organized with lots of friendly staff, TONS of very healthy and nicely trimmed trees, plenty of saws and wagons. My entire family is handicapped in some way so the staff were amazing with helping is actually cut down the tree and transport it back to the barn for us, plus they wrapped it and tied it onto the car. And free hot apple cider! It was festive and fun without being overly crowded or stressful, at least on the Sunday before thanksgiving. Also should note that it was very easy to walk around the area with the Fraser firs right from the car, which was good for us.
Nice outdoor venue! It is a hidden gem for the city of Fitchburg, and the surrounding towns!
This 100-acre farm is located in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. It used to be a historic farm called Marshall Farm. It's located on a hill so the views are spectacular. We went in the fall and it was a perfect New England day; spooky season in full effect, sweater weather, and autumn decor. There was live music, picnic tables, and animals you can pet; there were goats and sheep. A feed dispenser was nearby, just insert some coins. The bar/restaurant line was not too long and it moved quickly. We had kettle popcorn, hot dogs, beers and cider. These were good and there were so many options; pizza, beer, ice cream, salad, nachos, etc. They are also a pick your own farm; from strawberries, flowers, pumpkins, apples, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, peaches, it all depends on the season. They even have a sugar house which produces maple syrup and other treats. We had an enjoyable time when we went and look forward to going back.
I came here for an employee outing and it was a great time! The food was absolutely excellent, everyone had many options and the ice cream was simple and delicious but the waffle cones truly made it irresistible! The ambiance was nice as well; Though this farm is directly on the side of the road I didn't hear or see traffic at ALL. We had fun playing corn hole and visiting/ feeding the animals :) this is a really pretty, yummy venue with wonderful staff and fun for the whole family.
We enjoy coming here to find our own Christmas tree! We were disappointed that they ran out of cups for the free cider so we weren't able to get any.... We see that as part of the experience so it was disappointing... the service here was great! Price was fair.
